Photos

I’ve uploaded my photos to Flickr. Any with only the group or general photos are public. All others depicting individual Watchers are private.

If you went to the Moot and have a Flickr or Yahoo account, sign up/login, go to my photos on the right, and add me as a contact (you’ll find me under Rhomany). I will give you friend access to view, comment on and download any of my Moot Photos. If you did not go to the Moot, sorry but you’re stuck with the public ones :P I’m working on my blog bits, but I haven’t stopped since I got home, so I’ll get them up as and when I can.

Oh, and remind me later to tell you the story of how Briarthorn flooded the bathroom ;)

Costume Competition

I think everyone made a huge effort to make some fantastic costumes this year, all super-realistic and crafted with love and this year without needing so much coaxing and dutch courage to get involved.  But in the end there could be only two true winners - Lord Merryweather’s muttonchops.

Bath YMCA

I must admit that I felt some small disappointment that after the grand chateau Lady Vazquez secure for us last year that our accommodations were going to be somewhat more meagre in appearance.  Hiring a large house in England is far more expensive and difficult than Belgium.  Bath YMCA was a pleasant surprise however.  Sharing accommodation, few of us interacted much with the other guests who hailed from all over the globe but the staff were all very helpful and friendly and willing to get involved.  The premises were clean, well-maintained and sufficiently comfortable, with our small twin rooms housing up to 6 people for impromptu get-togethers and the larger communal rooms we had served their purpose very well.

The only true issues really were the lack of parking available nearby and the very strange electric sockets that would only switch on if your bedside lamp was illuminated making it impossible to charge, say, a telephone overnight while sleeping.

I didn’t sleep very much for the whole time but I think that was more associated with the excitement of the whole event and not wanting to miss any waking moment.

Meet & Greet

Nothing could be more ‘english’ for our first evening at the Moot than Fish & Chips from paper. Here we all are at the best F&C shop in town.

And instead of a cake this year we have a banner donated by Biet & Brethil, and customied by Briarthorn

All met up

Finally, we are all here.

After some quick talks on what is to come, we will all be let loose on the town.

Look out Bath!

Let’s go down to Tescos

Where they sell safety pins.

When in B&Q, Briar asked an employee what the b and the q stood for. No answer :)
